The expansion battery adds another 2048Wh to my AC200L which gives me more confidence when using the AC200L for household work (washing etc) that it will complete the work without requiring mains power.

On sunny days, the extra capacity comes in handy so as not to `waste` the opportunity for storing the extra energy that would otherwise not be used.

After connecting the rather chunky cable into the B230 and AC200L (and sliding the small tab into place), a full charge + constant discharge to recalibrate the BMS resulted in faultless performance.

For me, the ease of use and seamless integration outweigh the extra costs.

Unfortunately the first B230 went wrong after a couple of weeks. Bluetti did eventually replace the B230 for a new one. The replacement process took longer then expected.

As an expansion battery for the AC200 series, the B230 is almost perfect. The only real flaw is the limited 8A output on the 58.8V connector, which I can only assume is driven by the need for backwards compatibility with the AC200P's inputs. As a standalone unit, it could do with more DC output options, even if it's just a couple more USB ports. In general use, however, I've had no issues with it. Robust (if heavy), simple and easy to set up, easy to charge. Plenty of things you can run off it, even as a standalone unit, if you have the right accessories, and obviously a simple way of expanding the capacity of an AC200 series power bank.

Decided to purchase another Bluetti B230 expansion battery for my AC200Max, giving my total capacity to a whopping 6,144Wh Capacity. So glad I did.
After buying my first B230 expansion battery,3-4 months back, I realised just how beneficial it was in all aspects. Great build quality,ease of connection to the AC200max. Realising I needed more capacity it was a no brainier to buy another.
Ordering was easy from Bluetti UK. It was Delivered well packaged and arrived within 2 days. Very Happy.

Does what it said and it doubles the battery capacity on my BLUETTI 200 Max. Super easy install and works like one unit with extre Dc inputs etc just brilliant….

It can get a little confusing with add-on batteries and whether the AC200P can support them or not. Well it can support either 2 x B230s or 2 xB300 (you can't mix them). I went for the B230s as aesthetically more pleasing as matches well with AC200P and none of the units can be hidden away. Also, they are a more manageable weight to move around if necessary (which I will be doing this weekend as it turns out).
Only disadvantage of course is that the B230 doesn't have the capacity of the B300 (or the price!) so it comes down to a choice.
It is simple to hook them up to the AC200P and it all works seamlessly. There aren't many outputs on the B230 but I'm mostly using it as an extension battery so it is not an issue. I have used it to power a MacBook Pro via USB-C and this works perfectly.
The only thing I'd like to see is the ability to charge the B230 from the mains when it is switched off. It's somewhat frustrating it has to be left on waiting to charge (and thus wasting capacity if not needed to charge anything) - that's my only gripe to what is otherwise a well made solid extension battery
